Our Review Of 2009′s Best Running Back Cleats
What makes a good football cleat? A lot of things-including a combination of weight, grip, endurance and support. For running backs, the most important factors are weight and grip. While support and endurance are also important most running backs, and skilled position players in general would sacrifice these factors for weight and and grip.
With that said there are four main manufacturers of cleats: Nike, Adidas, Reebok, and Under Armor. Each one comes out with new cleats each year… This year, four pairs in particular stand out. Each one of these pairs can help you get that extra edge on your competition. It just so happens that one comes from each company. Heres our review on them.
Nike Vapor Jet 4.2

This is the fourth edition of Nike’s Vapor Jet series and this pair of shoes is pretty damn sweet. These shoes (like all high performance cleats) are made of super light high performance materials and weigh in at only 9.9 ounces. This weight doesnt sacrifice anything though. These cleats feature a durable sidewall for stronger movement. On top of that… They look sweet so you’ll be running in style.
Adidas Scorch Competition

These shoes were made for the running back that desires speed over anything else. At only 9.0 ounces these might be the lightest cleats you will be able to find out there. The upper sole is composed of a super lightweight breathable mesh for mobility like you have never seen. Enjoy leaving the competition in the dust.
Reebok NFL Burner III Low M3
These shoes are not nearly as light as the last two pairs of shoes but weight is not everything. These shoes make up for it with superior grip, fit and support. Buy them and play in tomorrows game with this pair of cleats which features a seamless fit that minimizes break in time.
Under Armour Soflo Low MC
While I have not been a fan of Under Armour shoe products in the past they are starting to get their game together. These shoes are lightweight at only 10.0 ounces, and feature of nylon insole for stability and support. On top of this they have a grip pattern that will cater to the most explosive players.
Where can you get these shoes? They shoes can be found at any local sporting store, or my personal preference,Easybay.com!
Do work.
Braylon Edwards May Have Found His Place In The NFL
Braylon Edwards was a star player at while he played at the University of Michigan. (He was a Heisman contender one year) He is in fact one of my favorite Michigan player’s during my lifetime. (Im A Michigan Fan) After he got drafted by the browns he kind of went off the map for a little bit…. Every one in a while you would him the the NFL highlight real but the Browns simply didn’t have a balanced enough team to take advantage of his abilities.
It seems like that has changed with his recent trade to the Jets. He is a very nice addition to the arm strength’s of Chad Pennington and Mark Sanchez. His first game last week he showed what I hope is just a glimpse of ability. He had 5 catches for 64 yards and a touchdown. Even though the Jets did not win the game I’m excited to see what is in store for Braylon.
Take a look back at his Michigan highlights if you need evidence that hes a baller!
