Role Tide Roll! Alabama Wins National Championship
#1 Alabama 37, #2 Texas 21

For the first time since 1992, the Alabama Crimson Tide has won the BCS National Championship, defeating Texas 37-21. Although, Texas was slowed by the early injury of their star quarterback Colt McCoy, Alabama and Heisman winner Mark Ingram came to play. Ingram and his counterpart Richardson both rushed for over 100 yards and two touchdowns each as the Alabama offense rushed at will against the Big 12′s top rushing defense, Texas.
However, the game was not all Alabama; Texas came to play. Even with McCoy injured, Texas’ offense managed to gain more total yards on offense than Alabama, under true freshmen quarterback Garrett Gilbert, who threw for 185 yards and two touchdowns. Texas was within 3 points in the fourth quarter. However, two quick turnovers sealed the deal for the Crimson Tide.
